Liquid or Non Surgical Facelift

Liquid facelift is a procedure using injectable fillers that aims to make facial contours more dynamic and attractive. In liquid facelift, hyaluronic acid fillers are usually injected into areas of volume loss to restore the reduced volume.

By filling the areas of volume loss, sagging skin can be reduced, droopy facial features or hollow areas can be reshaped, and a facelift can be achieved. Compared to a traditional surgical facelift, this is a less costly and risky procedure that is also minimally invasive.

What is the main reason we look old?

What do you think ages our appearance the most? Lines and wrinkles? Blemishes? Sagging skin? In truth, it's a combination of all of these factors. But the main reason for sagging skin, lines and wrinkles is loss of volume.

It’s a cruel irony of aging, but we lose fat from our face while we gain fat on our abdomen. When you think of a young face, you probably picture a “V”shaped face with symmetrical, defined lines. That’s because fat plays a big role in filling out the skin and making our face look smooth and elastic.

Of course, fat loss is not the only factor in this equation. Our skin also loses collagen, which begins in our 20s. To a lesser extent, it is also affected by the muscle loss that comes with the aging process. All of this leads to an overall decrease in facial volume.

A liquid facelift rejuvenates the face, but it can not do everything a surgical facelift can do. A liquid facelift is a good option for those who do not have severe sagging of the face and neck.

What should you pay attention to?

Do not have products injected into your face that are not FDA approved. These applications are prohibited for non-physicians. Do not have these procedures performed by non-physicians just because they are less expensive. This is because even though the procedures may seem easier than the surgical method, they can result in injuries that cannot be corrected. It is extremely important to know that there are no complications with this type of procedure.

Do not undergo dermal fillers if there are active skin wounds, herpes, acne, rashes, cysts or infections near the planned injection site. Postpone such planned procedures until the condition has completely resolved. Also, remember that it is not advisable to have laser treatments, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, or other similar skin treatments at the same time as dermal fillers unless you are being monitored by a specialized physician. Make sure you inform your doctor about any existing medical conditions as well as any medications you are taking.

Avoid the Dreaded “Wax Figure” Appearance

We all see around us some celebrities (or maybe your neighbors, friends) whose faces seem to melt when they go out on a hot day. Fortunately, there are some precautions you can take to avoid such consequences. A good place to start is to find a qualified doctor who uses only FDA-approved dermal fillers (in other words, no silicone liquids, gels, or permanent fillers).

That being said, here are the tips we recommend you follow during the liquid facelift procedure!

  • Choose one of the “temporary” fillers. So, if you do not like it, these substances will disappear within six to 12 months. You can repeat the treatment if you like the result or if it weakens.
  • Ask your doctor for moderation. Do not expect 20 years of rejuvenation.

Do not combine too many procedures at once. The “wax figüre” appearance is often associated with overly aggressive treatments.
